We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Tutor to join a team responsible for the development, delivery and assessment of the Foundations of Clinical Method for medical students at the University of Aberdeen. This ! includes the teaching of clinical communication, clinical examination and procedural skills to healthcare students in the Division of Medical and Dental Education. The post is based in the Clinical Skills Centre in the Suttie Centre for Teaching and Learning in Healthcare, which is found on the Foresterhill Campus. Applications are invited from individuals from any clinical discipline, who are fully registered healthcare practitioners and who have proven experience in clinical teaching and an up-to-date knowledge of education for medical practice.
This is a full-time post but applications would be welcomed from suitable candidates who would be able to work part time for 4 or more sessions per week. The post would therefore also be suitable for applicants who wished to focus on medical education but also wished to have the opportunity to maintain or develop separate clinical commitments. Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Clinical Staff Salary Scale for ! Staff not holding Honorary Consultant contracts (£31,523 - £! 55,754 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
