Woodside Medical Group Practice Nurse Grade E Part-time 15 hours Tuesday & Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm Closing date for applications Friday 13th July 2012 Woodside Medical Group currently has a vacancy for a Part-Time Practice Nurse (Grade E) to join our friendly and long established practice in the north Aberdeen area. The successful candidate will assist the practice by contributing to the smooth running of the practice by working in conjunction with the GPs, the Practice Nursing Team and further members of the primary healthcare team. Applicants should have proven experience and sound knowledge of general treatment room duties such as, venepuncture, wound care management, conducting ECGs, providing travel advice and undertaking cervical cytology. Ideally should also have some experience of chronic disease management including asthma, COPD, heart disease, stroke, epilepsy and hypertension.
Near patient testing for patients taking Warfarin would be helpful but not essential. Applicants should be registered with a recognised professional body and should adhere to the standards of care as set out by the NMC. Communication, pro-activity and team working are all skills required to successfully fulfil this role.
