Francois Offshore Catering Ltd, are currently looking to recruit experienced and immediately available Stewards to join our clients Offshore Drilling vessel.
Stena Drilling is delighted to be commencing operations offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada for an anticipated five (5) month drilling campaign onboard the Stena IceMAX Drillship.
There are currently temporary opportunities for 18 Stewards, working on a 28/28 on/off rotation.

Work Location: Onboard the Stena IceMAX Drillship, offshore NL. Please note there is a possibility that successful candidates will be required to join the drillship overseas at an international location prior to mobilizing to NL.
Wage: $21.58 CAD per hour

Position Objective:
To conduct the provision of galley and carry out other duties as requested by your line manager that could further enhance the overall service and efficient running of the operation.
Experience/Qualifications
- 2 years relative experience
- Basic food hygiene as minimum,
- Relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrate the following:
- Customer service experience
- Good communication skills with the ability to maintain a good working relationship between company staff, customers, clients and management

Scope of duties:
- Maintain accommodation areas in a clean and sanitary condition at all times and clean cabins in accordance with planned schedule.
- Conduct cleaning tasks including dusting and polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, window cleaning, cleaning, sanitising and/or disinfecting showers and toilets in accordance with work instructions.
- Provide a laundry service and ensure is achieved to client's satisfaction and in line with the contract.
- Ensure that all mess room equipment is thoroughly cleaned, giving attention to polished surfaces and removal of food particles
- Conduct after meal cleaning schedules and replenish condiments and juice machines if required and mess room food stocks.
- Assist with food provision deliveries and ensure all deliveries are checked and stored in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure that good stock rotation procedures are followed (first in, first out) to minimize the wastage of stock.
- Ensure customer complaints are dealt with to the customer's satisfaction or forwarded to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Ensure waste routines are in conjunction with company waste management procedure and clients waste system is followed.
- If working within the galley / pot-wash follow cleaning work instructions for the galley and mess room equipment.
- Operate plate-wash area during meal-times.
- Ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- Ensure that materials, such as chemicals are used in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and MSDS sheets (Example: dilutions, storage, harmful effects etc).
- Ensure compliance with all Francois Offshore Catering policies and procedures, including adherence to all client's health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Participate in Company stop card system and report any incidents immediately
- Ensure that defective equipment is reported to the appropriate person.
- Participate in team meetings. Contribute ideas that will make the workplace healthier/safer more environmentally aware and more productive.
- Participate in training sessions specific to your vessel / platform.
- Ensure regular communication is maintained with your line manager and any issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Carry out other duties as requested by your line manager that could further enhance the overall service and efficient running of the catering operation.
