Our client is the UKÂ's leading cosmetic surgery group and we currently have a rare and exciting employment opportunity for a full-time Senior Clinic Nurse for the Celtic region, based at their clinic in Glasgow.
The Senior Clinic Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the clinic nurses supporting Edinburgh, Belfast and Carlisle, ensuring nurse cover is rostered, and providing any cover for shortages, holidays etc... Clinical nurse cover will involve pre and post operative duties, providing the highest standards of care for surgical patients.
Duties will include:
• Completing an Anaesthetic and pre operative health screening on patients for surgery. • Ensuring that patientÂ's medical files and all relevant health history information are correctly stored and maintained. • Ensuring that appropriate blood tests are carried out. • Ordering special prosthesis or pre op medication for individual patients as necessary. • Post operative wound care management and suture removal.
The successful applicant will be a Registered Nurse, (Level 1) with at least 3 yearÂ's post qualification experience and will have up to date venepuncture and surgical wound care skills. A nurse prescribing qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
