Banks O'Dee is a purpose built care home registered for 60 beds, providing care for residents with nursing and mental health needs. We also provided respite and palliative care.
Banks O'Dee care home has six units each with 10 beds. Our staff provide a high standard of care.
We are looking for experienced Business Managers to join our management team.
As the Business home manager you have responsibility for managing a business with a turnover of approximately £1.5 million, you will lead a team of approximately 60 and be responsible for ensuring the whole facility operates effectively and of course ensuring we deliver the very best quality care and service.
You will not need a healthcare background as you will be responsible for working with your senior team which will include a clinical lead to ensure that all aspects of the business are delivered.
Our Care Homes give talented managers the scope and environment to take ownership for running an entire business whilst making a real difference to our residents lives.
Our Business Manager will:
- Ensure the delivery of quality care - continually assessing our residents' needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
- Actively ensure the home has the highest possible levels of occupancy â€" utilising links with the local community, positively marketing the home and increasing public awareness of our services.
- Take on accountability for the home â€" ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements; striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.
- Manage the financial effectiveness of the home - maintain the budget of the home and seek to identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce cost.
- Take on an active leadership role â€" you will need to be a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a twenty four hour business.
- Manage every facility in the home â€" although we are in the care business to deliver this you will manage every service from laundry and maintenance through to catering.
- Developing your people â€" you will have the opportunity to build your team, by recruiting and developing the right people to grow your business and through supporting their career development.
Experience of delivering business excellence in a highly customer focussed environment. A desire to be the best and ability to deliver results through your team. Strong leadership and management qualities are essential, as is a dynamic and flexible approach to the role.
