MEDICAL ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
to join their team of Bank staff within the Medical Administration Department.
Working on an “as and when required†basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. The department offers a service to relevant users from 8am until 8pm daily, including weekends.
It is essential that applicants have the following:
General level of education to Standard Grade or equivalent
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to adapt to a varying workload
Applicants should also be competent in the use of computer based packages, preferably Microsoft office.
Duties of this role include:
Ensure that all patients and visitors to the! hospital are welcomed, providing a reassuring, supportive and! comfortable environment and and ensuring the completion of patient registration forms.
Provide efficient handling of all referrals and review appointments.
Provide a confidential Patient Health Records (PHR) service.
Assist in the compiling of PHR for outpatient clinics.
Maintain an accurate filing system for PHR.
Carry out administrative duties â€" i.e. collecting mail, photocopying, and filing of patient records.
Operation of switchboard, dealing with enquiries and passing on information.
Accurate handling, storage, logging and sending of pathology specimens.
