For detail informations about this job opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Our client has a job vacancy for a Prison Nurse to work in Edinburgh. This is a full time position with an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is £21-25 ! per hour (limited company worker).
Duties â€"
- Providing a holistic package of care to patients within the prison system, whilst working closely with the MDT.
- Assessing health needs, and subsequent planning, delivery and evaluation of care.
- Directing and supervising the work of nursing assistants.
- Assessing physical and mental health of prisoners on admission to the prison.
- Making appropriate referrals.
- Administering medication as prescribed by the doctor within the guidelines for
- Assessing and treat patients with minor ailments and injuries or refer to the
- Responding to medical emergencies within the prison.
- Identifying those that are at risk of self harm and implement plans to reduce risk.
- Reviewing individuals being managed under the Prison Suicide and Self Harm risk management syst! em.
All applicants must b! e a Fully Qualified RGN with at least 2 years recent experience aswell as being registered with the NMC. Applicants must have prison clearance.
