RELIEF SUPPORT
WORKER,
MAYFIELD
The
Job
LinkLiving
provides a support
service to people
who want and need
help to manage
within their home
and we develop and
maintain a
lifestyle that
works well for
them.
Support
may be around a
number of areas
including practical
assistance, meeting
new people, finding
new interests,
looking for work or
training
opportunities,
making plans for
the future or help
in dealing with
emotional
issues.
Our work is
with people who
have been excluded
from society often
because they have
been in long term
care or hospital
and we aim to
empower people to
be part of their
local community,
leading ordinary
and valued
lives.
This post
is based within our
care home at Dougal
Cour! t at Mayfield
in Midlothian.
You will
-
General
standard of
education
-
Knowledge
of issues affecting
people who are
excluded and
marginalized
-
Understanding
of the issues
affecting service
users
-
Experience
of working with
people who have
suffered social
exclusion
-
Qualification
in Social Care,
Social Work,
Nursing or other
related discipline
or working
towards
appropriate
qualification
recognised by
SSSC
