Working for one of the largest care home providers in Scotland - This is a fantastic opportunity. Our client is looking for a specialist Nurse with experience or desire to work with patients with learning dissabilities.
This is a challenging role within a secure unit, but valuable experience
My client is also willing to provide asisstance with accomodation if required should you be moving to the area or newly qualified.
Job Purpose:Main Responsibilities:
To contribute specialist knowledge to support Service Users and Support Team.
To work as part of a team to provide and maintain professional standards in accordance with the principles of care as set out by the guidelines of the NMC..
To accept personal accountability for their own practice as a Registered Nurse and to work at all times within the MNC Code of Conduct.
To take responsibility for the day to day implementation of the Support tasks appertaining ! to the holistic needs of the servie users in the service.
! To adopt and implement ASC Enablement Model throughout the Service.
Care:
To provide a high standard of nursing support and to meet the needs of Service Users based on an assessment of their care needs in consultation with Service Users and their relatives/families.
To provide Pre-admission Support and effective transition periods, by using a multi-disciplinary approach.
To plan and implement PCP meetings Pre-Admission.
To assist with the on-going assessment of the Service Users needs and re-evaluation, by using ASC’s Holistic Assessment and Support Plan (HASP).
Co-ordinate Support Review meetings, identified at admission.
Ensure completion of Service Users records, in accordance with ASC Policy for record keeping, promoting continuity of Care and ensuring a quality service is delivered.
Complying ASC Policy and Procedure for the Safe Handling of Medication.
Perform necessary specific nursing tasks i.e. Blood Monitoring, Glu! cose Monitoring, and Observations, in accordance with the Service Users’ Support Plan.
Adhere to Adult Support and Protection Policies and Procedures, and reporting occurrences of harm accordingly.
Implement Physical Interventions as detailed in Service User Risk Assessment and Support Plan.
You will be required to submit a PVG and Police Check for the role.
