A major focus of research in the Wolf laboratory, based in the Division of Cancer Research, is to study the function and regulation of genes which determine the sensitivity of cells to drugs and environmental chemicals, with a particular interest in employing genetic and transgenic technologies to optimise the development and use of anti-cancer drugs and to evaluate their role in carcinogenesis. The group is well-funded, and located in state-of-the-art laboratories with excellent research facilities in the recently-established Jacqui Wood Cancer Centre in the Medical School at Ninewells Hospital.

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work on a project funded under the EU Innovative Medicines Initiative (MARCAR), a multi-centr! e program aiming to establish early, reliable biomarkers and m! olecular tumour signatures in carcinogenesis. Applicants should have a PhD, with a background in biochemistry, cell biology or toxicology and would ideally possess a Home Office Personal Licence, although training can be provided. Applicants should be capable of working as part of a team but should also demonstrate initiative to drive the programme forward.
