my client is currently recruiting for a staff nurse for a 45 bed nursing home in granton-on-spey near inverness
the hourly rate of pay for an rgn is 1158 per hour
the hourly rate of pay for a en is 10per hour
essential criteria
rgn or en
current registration with nmc as a 1st or 2nd level nurse
experience with older people
excellent communication skills
desired criteria
additional training relating to people with dementia and palliative care
svq assessor award
reports to manager person in charge
responsible for provision of nursing care for residents
general
the staff nurse is part of the nursing team and will be required to ensure the maintenance of high standards of nursing care whilst promoting an atmosphere which enables residents to live as independently as possible the nurse is here for their clinical experience during the shift
duties
1 to ensure that individualised care is given at all times
3 to carry out all treatments as prescribed including the administration of all prescribed medications
4 to ensure that the individual residents dignity is maintained at all times to ensure that residents are respectably and comfortably dressed and appropriately groomed ie hair brush shaved and make up etc
5 to ensure that the documentation of named residents is current and relevant
6 to document incident and or accidents of residents staff and visitors appropriately
7 to give and receive reports pertaining to residents current treatment and care
8 to ensure that good communication is maintained with residents and visitors
to move withdraw and report defective equipment and notify the manager
10 to ensure that residents property is safeguarded and that records are updated as necessary
11 to assist with the induction of new staff
12 to assist with in house training as! required
13 to ensure that appropriate staff cover is on duty at all times to remain on duty if necessary until cover can be arranged
