House Leader

Our client is part of the worldwide federation of 140 communities where people with learning disabilities are supported in their choice of lifestyle and can gro! w in confidence, skills and independence according to their individual need and preference. In response to changing needs they are opening a new specialised accommodation service for older adults with learning disabilities in December 2013.
They are now recruiting someone who can lead the house and manage service provision responsibilities.
The post holder will be accountable to a Registered Manager, and responsible for providing leadership to a team.
The person we are seeking should have significant experience in social care including supporting people with higher care needs, or in nursing, along with two years experience in a leadership role that includes staff supervision, or strong evidence of the capacity to do this.
They should be personally motivated by the mission, values and objectives of L'Arche.
SVQ3 in Health and Social Care plus the supervisors award, or equivalent acceptable qualification is required, or the willing! ness and capacity to achieve this.
