We currently have a number of opportunities for Care Assistants/Support Workers to join ! our team based in Strathaven.
Avonpark Care Home is a specialist nursing home, registered to provide care to both adults and older people with conditions such as dementia, early onset dementia, brain injury and neurological disorders. Avonpark has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and 24-hour nursing care available to everyone who stays with us. We place people at the heart of their care programme and offer activities to promote people’s independence and increase their confidence
Responsibilities:
Build good relationships with the people we support as well as other staff members
Provide daily support to the residents to help maintain and improve, where possible, independence and mobility
Assist residents to carry out their activities of living e.g., dressing, eating and bathing
Set the dining room, serve and clear meals to a high standard
Provide in-between nourishment as instructed, including the service of t! ea/coffee etc. to visitors
Assist residents to choose! from the daily menu and report any comments on food and requests for particular dishes
Assist with bed making and changing of linen
To keep all rooms clean and tidy at all-times ensuring a safe environment
The Individual:
NVQ level 2 is desirable.
Passion for delivering high quality care
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fully support you with any professional training
