This care provider for older people currently have a vacan! cy for an RGN/RMN Nurse to work across its three Care Homes in Portobello, Edinburgh.
They require an experienced individual to ensure the home provides and maintains the highest levels of care and service in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of staff members. The successful applicant will take management responsibility for a shift as directed, assess, plan, deliver and evaluate a high personalised standard of care which meets the individual needs of residents. As a Registered Nurse you will have the responsibility for leading your shift to ensure they deliver excellent standards of care; promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in their care.
You will also be expected to carry out the following:
Ensure the delivery of quality care by continually assessing residents needs and wishes
Develop, review and update care plans to meet clients changing physical, so! cial and psychological needs
Communicate professionally an! d warmly with visitors including family, friends and other external stakeholders
Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered to clients
Promote high standards of nursing care for you and your team, by ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and the shift runs in a smooth and efficient manner
Ensure that the team's skill and knowledge levels are able to meet the changing needs of the business
You should have a flexible attitude and wholly adopt a person centred ethos, show empathy and have a desire to make a difference. You should be up to date with current practices, show leadership qualities and be willing to take ownership for the delivery of quality care. You must hold a current registration with the NMC and have a legal right to work in the UK.
The hourly rate for this role is £13.62, and you will work 3 x 12 hour shifts on a rota basis. Thi! s is an excellent opportunity to join a well respected company in a varied role
