Description: NHS Scotland Recruitment is currently seeking to employ RM19149 - Trainee Forensic Physician right now, this position will be dwelled in . Detailed specification about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly developing and highly motivated team providing healthcare and forensic services within the custodial facility at Kittybrewster, Aberdeen.
MRCGP or equivalent is required, as are excellent communication skills.
Full training and supervision will be given from experienced colleagues and opportunities are available for formal professional qualification and continued professional development.
The Forensic Physician team provide a 24-hour service to Police Scotland and some flexibility in working hours will be required involving overnight and weekend work.
The service is currently undergoing a service redesign which includes the introduction of custody nurses and will see the Forensic Physicians concentrating on:
- Examination of suspects and victims of crime
- Road traffic offenses
- Adult sexual offence examinations
- Paediatric sexual offence examinations (in conjunction with Child Protection Paediatric team)
- Support for the custody nursing team with complex medical cases
