Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join in Maintenance team as a Commercial Heating Supervisor in London.
The main responsibilities for the job are:
- Effective line management within the Heating Team. You will lead, manage, motivate, engage and support the team to deliver a customer-focused service.
- Provide leadership to the team through effective coaching, mentoring, 121s and team meetings. Ensure team members understand their roles and areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for ensuring team members are inducted and adequately trained to fulfil their duties and adhere to internal processes and procedures. Ensure personal development plans are reviewed regularly.
- Support Senior Managers to monitor and manage third-party contractor performance to achieve agreed service levels and KPIs.
- Investigate complaints (informal and formal) and expressions of dissatisfaction with the service; Respond to customers within our published service standards, both verbally and in writing Set targets for your team and ensure these targets are monitored and regular reports/updates provided to support the business. Take corrective action where targets are under threat.
- Any other reasonable duties to support service delivery.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will:
- Be an experienced Gas Engineer who has experience in supporting/line managing colleagues, either in an officially titled position such as supervisor/team lead or in an unofficial capacity (stepping/covering manager's annual leave etc) and is ready to take that step up.
- Be a senior/experienced Gas Engineer who is looking to move away from on-site/sub-contracting and enjoys coaching, passing on wisdom and supporting engineers through their careers.
- Be confident in attending site meetings and holding toolbox talks.
- Self-motivated, resilient, assertive and confident
- Possess a proven track record of problem-solving, identifying, and resolving issues promptly.
