We are looking for 2 individuals to join us in our friendly little office at The Galloway Activity Centre! Founded in 1988, we are a medium sized activity centre on Loch Ken in South West Scotland serving tens of thousands of customers a year. We provide outdoor activities, tuition and accommodation for a mix of families, groups and individuals.
Our reception team are at the heart of our customers' journey through the centre, from the moment they pick up the phone to the day they arrive. We're looking for someone to give our lovely customers the warmest welcome and the best experience of the centre that we can! No experience is required - we are more interested in finding people with a positive, friendly outlook and who enjoy working with people. If there are any admin related skills you don't have - we'll soon train you up! It can be a stressful role and there's lots of responsibility, but cake is provided on difficult days and we try to maintain a relaxed family atmosphere in the office.
You will be working as part of a team of around 30 people from all walks of life and although you will be based in the office, it is far from your typical office role! We operate on the idyllic shores of Loch Ken, all of our team have access to the equipment/boats in their free time and we try and get out in the evenings out at least once a week. This could be a mountain biking trip around the local trails or an evening out on the water. In the height of summer, you will find that people are out having fun most evenings and there's loads of opportunities to try your hand at all the outdoor activities we run.
Although there is some evening work, this is shared around the team, and we operate an early start early finish schedule. We try to be tidied up and out the door by 5, so we can get out and play! Basic accommodation can be provided on site and there is an outdoor staff kitchen for cooking, although some catering options may be available later in the season.
