Key duties:
To assist in the ef! fective and smooth running of the care home and other registered services
To promote the good reputation of the home
To provide the highest standard of care within the clinical area
To comply with all company policies and procedures, regulations and statute to ensure the highest possible regulatory rating.
To deputise for the manager assuming 24 hour accountability for the Home and other responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
To provide a systematic and individualized approach to resident care and service to service users and to ensure that appropriate documentation is completed and retained.
To adhere to the company's policies and procedures, to National Care Standards and the SSSC Codes of Practice and to ensure that all staff are fully conversant with them
To develop good communication with service users, relatives and staff and other stakeholders
To maintain confidentiality
To conduct assessments and care reviews a! nd implement and maintain individual care plans for residents ! to the highest standard
To develop, promote and maintain defined standards of care, implementing improvements in accordance with evidence-based practice.
To assist in the development and implementation of the
activities programme
To liaise and engage with regulators, GP's and other health and social care related professionals
To monitor and control all staff in clinical areas, carry out performance appraisals and support and supervision sessions ensuring all documentation is kept accurately
To undertake direct nursing and general care work as necessary
To supervise the service of food and drink to residents
To ensure the safe management of medications according
to company policy, current legislation and NMC and Scottish Care Inspectorate guidelines
To ensure efficient and effective use of manpower in accordance
with the budget and Scottish Care Inspectorate requirements
To assist with the training of all staff in clinical area! s and with
training of staff in other departments as requested by the manager
The remit for Deputy Manager/Head of Care encompasses the following: -
Responsible for implementing and supervising nursing care in accordance with company policies as directed by the manager
To compile and monitor assessment and care planning activity
You will be a Registered Nurse, and have previous managerial experience. You will work 37.5 hours per week and the hourly rates are:
£14.75 weekdays
£17.56 weekends and public holidays
£14.86 for any hours worked over contracted hours.
Responsibility payment of £133 is allocated monthly. 16 hours of office time is given weekly and these times can be flexible
