PULSE Community Healthcare is currently recruiting Support Workers to work for organisation, which provides excellent care within people own homes in the Glasgow Area.
Candidates must have:
Knowledge and understanding of the physical and emotional needs of people with learning disabilities
Promote service users’ personal dignity, freedom of choice, maximum independence, and encourage their participation within the local community.
To assist service users to make contact with local day centres, adult education, leisure services, lunch clubs, etc.
Together with the rest of the team, as! sist service users in developing living skills in accordance w! ith the goals identified in their Individual Personal Plans.
Good verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families, advocates, colleagues and various agencies.
Requirements:
Should have a minimum of 6 months experience of working with people with complex needs in a supported housing or residential care setting.
