To provide/promote continuity of high quality care.

CLIENT CARE
To have knowledge / understanding of the client group.
To ensure a high quality of all aspects of care relating to the clients according to their individual
care/support plans.
To ensure access to and liaise with outside agencies beneficial to the care of clients.
To promote involvement of relatives in the care of clients.
To promote equality and individuality.
To contribute to and promote a warm, friendly and homely environment.
To! have an awareness of and adhere to Registration standards and! guidelines.
To be aware of and adhere to relative legislation and rights of the client group
STAFF
To support Manager by contributing effectively as a Team Leader and acting up in the absence of the
Manager.
To assist and support Charge Nurses and the staff team by contributing effectively.
To uphold the principles and philosophies of Meallmore Lodge Limited, by example in execution of
duties.
Controlling of weekly hours and monitoring of staff sickness/absenteeism
Organisation and allocation of annual leave within stated guidelines
To communicate effectively with other staff in all matters relating to the clients and the home.
To assist and supervise staff to ensure correct care of clients is carried out.
To co-operate with all staff throughout the company.
Co-ordination of orientation and induction of new staff
To assist and supervise staff through training and development programmes to assist them acquire the
s! kills and knowledge necessary to provide high standards of care.
To participate in staff Appraisal.
To advise on the promotion of Health and the prevention of illness.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To support/assist /Manager in providing a high quality of care.
To uphold the Philosophy / Policy of the Company.
To keep the Manager informed of all important issues relating to the home, seeking guidance as required.
To exercise discretion and confidentiality in matters privy to themselves or Management.
To endeavour to fill and staff vacancy by advertising, interviewing and selecting suitable personnel.
To carry out any disciplinary procedure as per company guidelines.
To carry out delegated duties as the Responsible Officer under the Health and Safety at work act.
To endeavour to fill any client vacancy by appropriate means.
Ensure that all administrative and fiscal matters relating to the business of the home is carried out in an!
efficient and orderly manner.
To ensure that the most efficien! t use of the homes resources is made at all times.
To promote at all times the good reputation of the Company.
To exercise discretion and confidentiality in all matters relating to the home, it’s staff and it’s residents.
