Registered Nurse (RGN)
What is expected of you as a Registered Nurse (RGN)?
You are responsible to provide and supervise the delivery of high quality nursing care to residents in accordance with up to date, evidence-based professional practice and company policies.
You will be res! ponsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team, supervising, training and developing care staff in providing the best quality of care to the people we support. The desire to learn and the ability to inspire your team is therefore essential. Our full time shift patterns range from 36 to 48 hours per week.
You will be a Qualified Registered Nurse (RGN) and be registered with the NMC.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Clinical Support and Professional Leadership.
Provide clinical leadership to nurses in implementation of nursing provision
Provide support and advice
Act in advisory capacity to nurses pertaining to quality and safety
Identify sources of specialist support and expertise
Act as advisor regardi! ng clinical issues and implementation of guidelines and standards, working closely with management and working groups as necessary
Promote and support Gold Standards
Ensure Infection Control Standards are maintained, supporting lead nurses
Service Development
To have consistent approach to development of the role of the nurse in the nursing home
To work with Head of Nursing to review service delivery
To work with nurses and multidisciplinary teams to implement new developments To work with nurses in the development of a competence-based framework to ensure quality service provided
To develop the role of the carer
Training and awareness
Ensure training and education provided meets the needs of nurses and reflects local and national objectives
Provide orientation and induction for newly hired nurses
Participate in supervisions, personal development plans
