Here at Westlands Care Home we are looking for a keen and motivated individual to work closely with the cook to help in the smooth running of the kitchen, whilst supporting the care team with the laundry.
PRINCIBLE RESPONSIBILITES; ·8am to 2pm on Monday, Thursday , Saturday and Sunday
· Starting at 8.00 a.m., prepare breakfasts trays and deliver to bedrooms or dining room
· Write the day’s menu on the dining room white board and gather menu choices from residents
· Prepare coffee & biscuit trolley at 11.00 am serve to the residents in the communal areas and in their own rooms.
· Assist the cook in the serving of lunch onto plates and trays for care staff to serve to residents
· Wash up and put away throughout shift as and when needed to ensure it does not build up
· Put food deliveries away in relevant storage location as it arrives
· Keep the kitchen, prep room and store room clean and tidy during shift
· All recyclable items must be free from contaminants (rinsed and separated) and placed into the recycling bin.
· Food and packaging waste to be taken out and placed into relevant recycling bins
· Wash kitchen floor before leaving at 2pm
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:
· CRB/DBS check
· Proactive team player, able to move between tasks as and when required without direction
· Empathy with elderly residents
· Contracted 24 hours per week
· 8am to 2pm on Monday, Thursday , Saturday and Sunday
· 6 hours x 4 days
