MEDICAL SECRETARIES
to join their team of Bank staff.
Working on an “as and when required†basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. The department offers a Medical Secretarial Service to Consultants from 8am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Evening and weekend working may be considered following successful completion of the initial training period.
A Medical Secretarial / Medical terminology qualification would be preferred however it is not essential.
All applicants must have excellent communication skills and be competent in the use of Medical Terminology and all tasks required of a Medical Secretary.
Duties ! of this role include:
Providing an efficient Secretari! al Service, working to the written procedures of each individual Consultant
Maintaining a professional and sympathetic attitude when dealing with patients and other departments.
Understanding the principles of the Data Protection Act and the necessity for the highest level of confidentiality
Participating in achieving the standards of patient care and customer service.

The hospital has 28 private en-suite bedrooms, 3 theatres, a high de! pendency unit, laboratory, imaging, pharmacy, physiotherapy and audiology departments. The hospital also provides Health Services including Counselling, Private GP Service, Travel Health, and Health Screening. Over 100 consultants practise at BMI Albyn Hospital. They are supported by caring and professional medical staff, with dedicated nursing teams and a resident medical officer on duty 24 hours a day.
