hospital has a vacancy for a Receptionist in our Outpatients Department.
This post is for 15 hours ! per week following the work pattern of 2 x 7.5 hour shifts per! week, either 8.30am to 4.30pm or 1pm to 9pm.
It is essential that applicants have the following:
Previous Reception experience preferrable
Good communication and organisational skills.
Good IT skills.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to cope under pressure, and maintain a high level of customer care.
Knowledge of healthcare would be preferrable
Required to demonstrate reasonable literacy and numeracy skills.
Duties of this role will include:
Providing an efficient, friendly and high quality reception service, maintaining the reputation of the Hospital as a high quality service provider.
To be a constant point of contact for clients, consultants and staff entering the department.
Assisting in making appointments for patients and maintaining a clear picture of users and patients within the department throughout the day.
General clerical and administrative tasks ! e.g. checking of clinic lists, photocopying, case note tracking.
Maintaining Health & Safety for a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors
Ability to meet objectives.
Supporting and being involved in quality initiatives and professional development.
Carrying out any other duties that may be required from time to time, as delegated by the Outpatient Sister/Staff Nurse.
